Raising money for Sue Ryder @ Rolls Royce

Liza, Josh and Jodie spent their lunchtime on the 11th of October at Rolls Royce with Sam Boardman from Sue Ryder, the plan was to cut as many gents hair as possible and raise lots of money for a great cause.
The result - 24 haircuts, over £235 raised and even the clippers came out.

Well done to everyone involved, look forward to our next hairathon in February!!!!

Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy Permanent Blowdry at Saks Hairdressing Clifton


‘Permanent blowdry!’ we hear you cry ’Can there be such a thing?’

There is.....we have it at Saks Hairdressing and we thought we should let you know how it works. Read on for the secret…..

It is achieved using the Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy range, reducing frizz to leave hair smooth and manageable whilst simultaneously protecting, repairing and strengthening your hair. This smoothing system will eliminate up to 95% of frizz and will soften curl. Our clients say that their hair is more manageable and easier to maintain, reducing daily styling time. For many, this is truly a life changing experience, rejuvenating the hair, giving it the soft, silky feel that everyone is raving about. The therapy is gentle enough to be used on all hair types and can be applied directly after colouring, the life of the colour is then extended as it is sealed into the hair and the hair is left smooth and vibrant.

How does it work?

The Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy conditions and shines by infusing Keratin deep into the hair cuticle. The result of this process is that each strand has had natural keratin restored within the cuticle restoring and restructuring the hair.

There are two services available;

1. Keratin Complex Blowout treatment which lasts up to 6 weeks

&

2. Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy Permanent Blowdry which can last up to 3 months.

So how do we do it?

The therapy is for professional use only and has to be conducted in an approved salon such as ours. Your specially trained stylist will have your hair shampooed using the appropriate Keratin Complex shampoo, the treatment is then applied onto your hair and your hair is blow dried, this blowdry  is then locked into place using a heated iron similar to a set of straighteners. This process will take between 1 and 2 hours for the blowout treatment or 2 to 3 hours for the full Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy Permanent Blowdry. With the right home care this benefit will last for up to 3 months, sometimes longer.


Is it suitable for you?

If you have naturally fine and straight hair then this service isn’t aimed at you. If you have naturally curly hair then Keratin Complex will calm and control the curls, if you have frizzy hair then this treatment will smooth out the frizz and if you have wavy hair it will significantly reduce the wave. Liza the salon owner has naturally curly and frizzy hair and this service revolutionized her morning routine reducing the time required to blowdry her hair and removing the need for straightening before work. What does it cost?

Prices start from;

Keratin Complex Blowout - £100 for short hair, £125 for shoulder length hair and from £150 for long hair

Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy Permanent Blowdry - £200 for short hair, £250 for shoulder length hair and £300 for long hair    

We provide free consultations for those who are interested in this service and your stylist will be able to advise exact costings before you commit.


What is the catch?

If you wash your hair daily then the biggest downside with the Keratin Complex Smoothing therapy 12 week treatment is that you cannot wash your hair for 2-3 days following the service, however the Keratin Complex Blowout treatment only needs to be left for 8  hours before it is shampooed. You also have to use the shampoo and conditioner that supports the product in order to get the full benefit. The shampoo and conditioner will prolong the life of the service so there is some benefit from changing from your current morning routine.

Saks Intensive Naturals Training day with Laura Hill and GHD competition

The team at Saks Clifton had a fantastic day on Monday, Art director Laura Hill went through the New Saks Intensive Naturals collection. The training included a guide to consultating with clients so that we recommend the best colour to suit not only their skin tone but also their lifestyle too.
The training also included us learning the 3 new colour tecniques, Zoom, Curve and Glow. The team then practised these techniques on our beautiful dolls heads.

The afternoon session was where we got creative, everyone had a model to create a Spring/Summer fashion look using the GHD's. This was great fun, there was a mixture of curls, summer waves, up-do's and lots of texture!!!! The results were amazing, and we must say a big thankyou to all our beautiful models. Now its fingers crossed time as we enter our winning looks into the GHD competition.
